Habitat Stamp

The purchase of a Habitat Stamp ($10) provides the core funding for the Colorado Wildlife Habitat Protection Program (CWHP). Anyone buying a hunting and fishing license in the state of Colorado must also purchase a Habitat Stamp. This provides the means for Colorado Parks and Wildlife to work with private landowners, local governments and conservation organizations to protect important fish and wildlife habitat. Since 2007, the Colorado Wildlife Habitat Stamp has grown into one of the state’s important conservation programs and has:

  • Conserved 253,000 acres of key wildlife habitat
  • Secured 121,500 acres of public access
  • Protected approximately 36 miles of fishing access
