Council Mission:
The Colorado Wildlife Council oversees the design of a media based public information program to educate the public about the benefits of wildlife, wildlife management, and wildlife-related recreational opportunities, specifically hunting and fishing.

All Council meetings shall be open to the public. To allow Council members to fully consider public input, written comments from the public are invited and encouraged; however, oral input from the public shall be accepted at Council meetings subject to time limits as determined by the chairperson. The Colorado Wildlife Council was established by the Colorado legislature in 1998 through state law. Its mission is to educate the general public on the benefits of wildlife, wildlife management, and wildlife-related recreational opportunities in Colorado—particularly hunting and fishing.
